Vesilica was a project that pitched a concept to a video game company which revolved around interactive story telling, problem solving, character developement, puzzle-platforming environments and engaging one on one combat. This image and mock-up cover was meant to be a teaser to the type of mood and feel the game would have. The illustration features the main character, Vesilica, riding into battle with a heard of cybernetic elk, the ominous skyscraper-trees rising out of the mist in the distance.

These sample pages are taken from a sketchbook that was put together by myself for the author of Boot Hill, a fantasy western adventure based around the hardships of betrayal and the longing for freedom in a cruel and caged world. There are comedic elements as well as dramatic ones and I wanted the characters to reflect both naivety and experience. The intended audience is late teens, young adults and adults. The entire book contains concept art for the characters, props, costumes and environments.

Vesilica is an on-going story cataloguing the adventure of a young girl with amnesia as she tries to discover her origins and the reason for her exile from humanity. The world she lives in has been reclaimed by the 'forest king', leaving humans to fight for themselves in a hostile environment that no longer welcomes their existence. For an unknown reason the girl, Vesilica, is able to traverse the world with ease, as the forest seems to accept her presence. After befriending a human doctor largely by accident Vesilica begins to unravel the secrets of the world's current state and her own loss of memories.
